Rongo University College, a constituent college of Moi University, was established by His Excellency President Mwai Kibaki, Commander in Chief of the Kenya Defence Forces through Legal Notice NO.70 Kenya Gazette Supplement NO.51, on 17th June 2011

The University Campus located on Kitere Hills 8 kilometers from Rongo.
The Nairobi Satellite Campus was launched on the 14th November 2005. Since then, the campus has witnessed a tremendous growth with an increase in the number of courses offered and student enrolment of over 2,000 students. The Moi University Nairobi Satellite campus is located at the Baazar Plaza, along Moi Avenue, Nairobi.
Moi University Kitale Campus, ( formerly, St. Josephine Bakhita Formation Centre) is located about 118km west of the Main Campus in Eldoret; 82km from Eldoret Town and 8km from Kitale Town on the Kitale Kapenguria-Lodwar Road. The Satellite Campus was established in 2006, first at the premises of NOREC 3km from Kitale Town on the Kitale- Cherangany Road with three participating Schools including, the Schools of Education, Business and Economics and Human Resource Development. Currently, more schools and programmes have started and with the movement to St. Josephine Bakhita Campus, Moi University is set to entrench itself in the region.

The School of Education at Moi University started in 1987 with a single undergraduate degree programme, Bachelor of Education (Arts). Over the years the School has grown to offer five programmes at undergraduate level, two Postgraduate Diploma, twenty M.Phil. and four doctorate degree programmes, spread over the three Campuses of Moi University. The School recently relocated from the main Administration Building to the newly completed NACITTI complex next to the Margaret Thatcher Library. The mandate of the School is to train effective teachers for the schools and tertiary institutions.
The School of Public Health (SPH) was established in 1998 in recognition of the need for training high level manpower in Public Health. The training programmes of the School have been developed to meet the University's mission of producing skilled and practical health professionals who will contribute towards the realization of the country's national goals.

The School was established in 2009. It is located at the Rivatex East Africa Ltd Compound, a facility of Moi University, along Eldoret – Kapsabet road. It is 2 km from Eldoret CBD. Currently, the school is proud to be the first in East and Central Africa (if not Africa) to teach students Aerospace Sciences. The school has been inspected by Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) for registration as an Aviation Training Organization (ATO). The school has collaborations with east African School of Aviation (EASA) and Oklahoma Sate University.
The School of Biological and Physical Sciences was founded in 2011 as one of the Schools of Moi University. Following the elevation of Chepkoilel Campus to the status of a University College, there was need to establish a science school at the main campus that would offer science programmes at the same time servicing the other schools that offer science courses.
The School has six departments, namely: Botany, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics & Computer Science and Zoology. The School of Human Resource Development (SHRD) was established in 1989, with the objective of organizing academic support programs to all the undergraduates students in the University. The school was also mandated to manage the continuing education programs and develop links with their academic institutions and industry. This was in line with the Mackay report of (1984)The school of Human Resource Development is headed by a Dean who is the administrative and academic head. The School of law was established in July 1994 as the Faculty of Law. It was renamed School of Law in 2005 following the implementation of the Moi University Strategic Plan (2005/2015). This bold step of starting the faculty was taken with particular interest in promoting “social justice” and expanding educational opportunities for Kenyans.
The school is located 5 km from Eldoret town along the Eldoret-Nakuru highway.
The School of Law is headed by a Dean who is the administrative and academic Head of the School. Assisting the Dean on day-to-day administrative matters are four Heads of Departments and two Administrative Assistants.
