The Authority is a semi-autonomous agency of the Government responsible for the administration of the Central Government taxes as well as several non-tax revenues. The Authority is under the general supervision of the Board of Directors. The Authority is entrusted with the administration of various Tax Laws as enacted by the Parliament of The United Republic of Tanzania.
